Here Are All the Possible Headlines the Jalopnik Staff Discussed for the Dodge Swinger Special Editions

The Swinger editions represent both the third and fourth special editions models Dodge is doing as a last hurrah for the Charger and Challenger. In total there will be seven special edition models.

If you want one of these things, there wont be many. Just a thousand of each will be produced. All will be R/T Scatpack Widebody models.

The models are a tribute to the original Dodge Dart Swinger from 1970. That model featured green exterior paint, a green interior and gold accents. All that was wrapped around a 350 cubic inch V8.

The models feature Dodge’s F8 Green exterior paint. But if all that green is too much for you, you do have the option of White Knuckle, which is just white.

The Charger Swinger features things like 20x11 inch Gold School wheels, retro Swinger rear fender graphics, six piston Brembo brakes with black calipers, Nappa leather/Alcantara seats with green stitching on the seats, console and doors, and Mod Grain wood-like aluminum interior bezel textures.

The Challenger Swinger edition features things like Gold School painted badging on the grille, Gold School 20x11-inch wheels, green interior accent stitching, Gold School Bee front fender badges, and a Gold School painted Shaker hood intake.

With all the green and gold used on the exterior, the interiors of the cars could have been much better. At first glance the interior of this Charger Swinger doesn’t look much different than a regular Charger Scat Pack.

Same goes for the interior of the Challenger. This could be any trim of the Challenger from a base SXT on up through a Scat Pack. Not to mention it’s not much different than the Charger’s although there does look to be a bit more fake wood on the Challenger’s center console.

Both Swinger models wont be widely available either. In addition to the rather small production number, Dodge says that only specific dealers will be getting the Swinger models.
